• Account information — such as your name, username, email address, and (optionally) phone number when you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google.
• Profile and content — your profile details, the reviews and ratings you write, and any photos or videos you upload.
• Location — approximate or precise location (with your permission) so we can show restaurants near you or in a place you’re planning to visit.
• Social connections — the people you follow and who follow you.
• Device and usage data — device identifiers, app version, and basic usage information used to operate and improve the Service, including push-notification tokens if you enable notifications.
• Restaurant / business information — if you claim a restaurant, information you provide to manage your listing (menu, responses, and billing details processed by our payment provider).

How we use your information

• To provide, personalize, and maintain the Service — including showing recommendations from people you follow.
• To power social features such as reviews, follows, and your home feed.
• To send you notifications you’ve opted into (e.g., activity from friends).
• To process restaurant subscriptions and payments for business accounts.
• To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service, with:

• Service providers — cloud hosting and media storage (Amazon Web Services), maps and place data (Google Maps Platform), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and payment processing for business accounts (Stripe).
• Other users — content you choose to post (reviews, ratings, photos, profile) is visible to others by design. You can control the visibility of your followers/following in your settings.
• Legal reasons — when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Foomingo.

Data retention and account deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time — see our Account Deletion pagefor how. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated content, except where we’re required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records) for a limited period to meet legal obligations.

Your choices

• Update your profile and privacy settings in the app at any time.
• Control location and notification permissions through your device settings.
• Request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Age requirement

Foomingo is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
